Clothing Recommendations

It's worth keeping in mind that the temperatures can swing quite a bit between daytime and nighttime in the mountains. Pack warmer clothing that you may expect. What we typically recommend is this

  • Casual clothing for hanging around Lumen and exploring nearby towns
  • Trail-friendly clothing for hikes and outdoor adventures.
  • Swimwear and a beach towel if you plan to visit a lake or swimming hole.

A few helpful items to pack include:

  • Base layer (a.k.a. "long johns"), top and bottom for hiking, lounging, layering or wearing to sleep.
  • Raincoat or shell jacket to keep out wind and rain, as a light layer for chilly evenings, or added warmth over bulkier sweaters or fleece.
  • Fleece, insulated jacket or vest for added warmth or layering under a raincoat or shell.
  • Sweatshirt or sweater for cozy, casual warmth and layering.

Firepits & Firewood

All of our sites are equipped with a modern, smokeless firepit.

We have a central location with firewood bundles available. You can buy bundles one at a time through Venmo, Paypal or Cash, just referring to the instructions posted on the firewood location or reserve the bundles at the time of booking.

Propane Stove

For Glamping sites, in order to provide a perfect, yet simple and easy way to cook, we also provide a complementary propane stove at every tent site. You can purchase butane canisters from us at $8/canister, the canister station is located at the Bath House area, and you can also pay through Venmo, Paypal or Cash.

Quiet Hours

Our quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. We ask that you respect the guests around you and refrain from playing music after these hours.

Trash & Recycling

We have a trash and recycling dumpster by the entrance to the campground (near the cabin). If you drop off your trash and recycling on the way out, our staff will love you and we’d greatly appreciate this!

Nature

Part of what makes Lumen so magical is that you’re surrounded by nature, trees, and water all around you. With that, we do encourage you to take certain precautions. Wear long-sleeves, use bug spray, and check yourself for ticks every evening.

Security

Keep all of your valuables inside your car. Whether you're staying in a tent or a cabin, please don’t leave any valuables inside when you are out and about. Lumen is not responsible for any loss.

No Smoking Inside The Cabins, Tents, Bathhouse or Common Lawn

Please note that smoking inside the tent, inside the bathhouse and on the common lawn is not allowed. If the guests break that rule, we will automatically bill a $400 fine.

You can smoke on your site, but please do it near the firepit and please make sure to dispose of the cigarette butts properly and don't throw them on the ground.
