A few helpful items to pack include:
Every Safari and A-Frame tent site is equipped with a modern, smokeless firepit. All of the rustic camp sites offer a fire ring. Please make sure not to move it, as well as ensure that the fire is fully put out when you are done.
We have a central location with firewood bundles available. You can buy bundles one at a time through Venmo, Paypal or Cash, just referring to the instructions posted on the firewood location.
For a perfect, yet simple and easy way to cook, we also provide a complementary propane stove at every tent site. You can purchase butane canisters from us at $8/canister, the canister station is located at the Bath House area, and you can also pay through Venmo, Paypal or Cash.
Our quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. We ask that you respect the guests around you and refrain from playing music after these hours.
We have a trash and recycling dumpster by the entrance to the campground (near the cabin). If you drop off your trash and recycling on the way out, our staff will love you and we’d greatly appreciate this!
Part of what makes Lumen so magical is that you’re surrounded by nature, trees, and water all around you. With that, we do encourage you to take certain precautions. Wear long-sleeves, use bug spray, and check yourself for ticks every evening.
Keep all of your valuables inside your car. Given that you are staying in a tent, please don’t leave any valuables inside when you are out and about. Lumen is not responsible for any loss.
Please note that smoking inside the tent, inside the bathhouse and on the common lawn is not allowed. If the guests break that rule, we will automatically bill a $400 fine.
You can smoke on your site, but please do it near the firepit and please make sure to dispose of the cigarette butts properly and don't throw them on the ground.
