Stargazing Night with NHAS Astronomers

Look up! Members of the New Hampshire Astronomical Society (NHAS) are bringing their telescopes to Lumen for a special evening of stargazing. Beginning at dusk (around 8:30 PM), our guest astronomers will guide you through the night sky, pointing their scopes at the most breathtaking objects visible — think planets, star clusters, nebulae, and more. Every object is chosen for maximum "wow" factor.

No experience necessary. The astronomers will walk you through everything you see and are happy to answer any questions about the cosmos.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Dress warmly and in layers — nights can get cool even in June
• Leave your phone tucked away to protect your night vision
• Skip the flashlight — red safety lighting will be provided
• Glasses wearers welcome; the astronomers can adjust focus for most prescriptions
